  • In accordance with Articles 38 and 44 of the Memorandum and Articles of Association, I wish my child, who is aged 5 but under 12 and whose personal details are given below, to be admitted as a Child Member of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and I hereby authorise you to register his/her name in the Child Members' Book. I undertake to comply with Articles 44 (A (B) and with Bye-Laws relating specially to children.

    The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club hold names, addresses, contact data and historical information relating to membership, billing and other information necessary for the management of the Club. Our purpose in collecting and holding such data is to facilitate the efficient management of Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club to the best interest of the membership as a whole. Subject to the requirements of the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you hereby consent for us to use your personal data for direct promotion and/or marketing of products, facilities, services and activities of the Club. Personal data will not be disclosed to any person or company outside the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have the right to ascertain whether the Club holds your personal data, and to correct any data that is inaccurate.     Young Persons

     Children under the age of 12 years must remain under the personal supervision of a responsible Member aged 18 years or over at all times whilst on Club premises to ensure their personal safety and that their behaviour at no time causes offence to other Members. Furthermore, children under the age of 12 years:

    a. are not permitted or to proceed into or remain in the following areas unless in the care of and under the active supervision of, a responsible Member aged 18 years or over:

         (i)any bar or dining outlet; or,

         (ii)the pathway leading from the Waterside to the Bistro Terrace via the starter’s box at Kellett Island; or, 
         (iii) the boatyard, any hardstanding area or pontoons, unless for the purpose of embarking or disembarking from a boat; or,

        (iv) any part of the breakwater or seashore.

    b.whilst dining in the Compass Room, Gun Room, Bistro or Main Deck, must remain seated and reasonably behaved and are not permitted to run or wander around freely;

    c.whilst at Middle Island, Shelter Cove and the Poolside may not run around dining tables and must be reasonably behaved;


    d. are not permitted at the Main Deck after 2000hrs with the exception of Firework night(s), Christmas Eve, official club core sports prizegiving events and any other occasions approved from time to time by the General Committee; 

    e.  are not permitted in the Kellett Island Main Bar after 1800hrs with the exception of Firework night(s), Christmas Eve and any other occasions approved from time to time by the General Committee;


    f.are not permitted in the Compass Room and Ward Room except that they may have lunch there on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, dinner there on Sundays, Firework night(s), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, tea at the Club’s Children’s Christmas Party and official club core sports prizegiving events and any other occasions approved from time to time by the General Committee;


    g.are not permitted in the Gun Room except that they may attend private functions to which they have been invited as a guest and any occasions approved from time to time by the General Committee.
